Janice is a lawyer, mediator, and arbitrator with extensive experience in each field. She was called to the Law Society of BC bar in 1988 and has been practicing as a litigator since. She has also been acting as a mediator since 1995 when she completed her mediation training, and as an arbitrator since 2019 when she completed arbitration training through ADRIC and Royal Roads.

Since August 2005, Janice has operated her own mediation and litigation practice. She began providing part-time contract legal services in a variety of practice areas to Christopher Considine KC in 2009, including personal injury litigation, wills and estates litigation, employment disputes, corporate commercial disputes, and general civil litigation.

Prior to establishing her own practice, she worked with various firms: Killam Whitelaw & Twining in Vancouver until 1992, Health & Company in Nanaimo until 2001, and MacMinn & Company in Victoria until 2005.

In her free time, Janice enjoys practicing yoga and playing, as she describes it, “mediocre” pickleball. She also loves going for walks in and around our beautiful city of Victoria, and taking ocean dips at all times of the year.
